TapGo is designed to be simple and private. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
We do not collect any personal data.
TapGo does not transmit any information to external servers, does not include analytics, and does not require an account.
TapGo stores the following data locally on your device only:
When you search for a place, TapGo uses Apple’s MapKit framework (MKLocalSearchCompleter / MKLocalSearch) to retrieve suggestions. These requests are handled by Apple and subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
When you tap a saved place, TapGo opens Apple Maps with the destination pre-filled. Any data Apple Maps handles is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
The “Send a Destination” feature uses iOS’s built-in share sheet to compose an
iMessage. TapGo encodes the destination name, address, and coordinates directly
in a tapgo:// URL. No server or third-party service is involved.
The message is sent through Apple’s iMessage service, which is subject to Apple’s
own terms and privacy policy.
TapGo does not knowingly collect information from children. The app collects no personal data from any user.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
